When considering our shipping charges, especially those for Next-Day and Second-Day Air Shipping, bear in mind that our gifts can be quite large. To ensure that they arrive at their destinations in perfect condition, they are packed in heavy-duty boxes with plenty of packing materials that serve to eliminate shifting during transport.

Chocolates
World Famous Gift Baskets will only ship chocolates from the months of October to March due to warm weather conditions.

Product Substitutions
In order to get your World Famous Gift Baskets delivery to your recipient in a timely manner, we will adhere to the following steps:

1. If we are out of a particular product, our gift designers may substitute a similar product of equal or greater value.
   
2. Items containing chocolate that are shipped between May and October will be substituted with a product of equal or greater value.

Sales tax applies to all baskets purchased and shipped in the state of Alabama.

Incorrect Delivery Addresses
There will be an additional shipping charge of $10 per package for incorrect delivery addresses. To avoid delayed deliveries and redelivery fees, please provide complete street addresses including suite numbers, company names (if applicable) and zip codes.

Freight damage
All freight damage claims are the responsibility of the freight carrier and must be filed accordingly. Any spoilage or shortage resulting from freight damage is the responsibility of the carrier.

International Terms of Service

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TERMS OF SERVICE: UPS International Tracking Numbers: UPS tracking number/s for your shipment will be emailed to you within 48 hours after shipment has officially left our premises. It will be your responsibility to track your package/s progress up until the point that shipment reaches its final destination. Shipping is FOB Birmingham, Alabama. Once your package has left our premises, WFGB will not provide product or shipping refunds for international shipments under any circumstances and/or for any reason, to include but not limited to shipment returns. International Customs Delays May Occur: Shipping arrival times may vary due to International Customs review of your shipment. World Famous Gift Baskets and UPS have no control over the amount of time it will take for your package to clear Customs. World Famous Gift Baskets and UPS have no control over the possibility of the recipient refusing the gift package. Customs Duty Tax Fees: The country to which you are shipping may or may not assess a Duty Tax fee. International shipping prices do not reflect additional Duty tax fees that may be assessed to your shipment as shipment enters into Customs and before shipment will be authorized by Customs to proceed onward to your recipient. If Duty Tax fees payment is required at that time, shipment may be delayed in Customs until you pay the countries' Duty Tax fee in full. Therefore, in order to expedite your shipment to your recipient through Customs, you will be required to pay the Customs Duty Tax fee on demand at that time. In rare cases, the Duty Tax fee will not be assessed to your shipment for a period of up to 120 days after shipment has arrived to the recipient. Therefore, World Famous Gift Baskets reserves the right to charge your credit card up to 365 calendar days after purchase should this occur. By agreeing to these terms of service, you are authorizing World Famous Gift Baskets to act on your behalf and pay the Duty Tax Fee upon request by Customs. In addition, you understand and agree that your credit card will charged by World Famous Gift Baskets the amount of the assessed duty tax fee at that time. Note: WFGB has no way of determining what these fees are in advance of commencement of shipping, or if the country in question is going to assess a Duty Tax. You cannot pay this tax upon placement of your order. Sanitary Authorization Certificate Fees: YOU MUST NOTIFY YOUR RECIPIENT YOU ARE SENDING A GIFT TO THEM. Some countries require that the recipient registers and pays for a Sanitary Authorization Certificate prior to being able to receive any food gift shipments. This registration fee, as required by the country can only be paid directly by the recipient. Customer is not permitted by that country to register and pay for this certificate. In the event that recipient refuses to register and pay the fee for this certificate, your shipment may be returned to WFGB. In the event that your gift is returned you are responsible for the additional return shipping charges. In the even that your gift is returned to World Famous Gift Baskets, we will automatically forward the gift basket to your billing address on file.By Agreeing to these Terms of service you are authorizing World Famous Gift Baskets to charge your credit card within a period of 365 calendar days from the time of purchase for any additional shipping charges to include charges for package return to WFGB and shipping charges to forward the package to your billing address. Note: WFGB has no way of determining in advance if the recipient has previously registered/ applied for a Sanitary Authorization Certificate. All Shipment Delays in Customs: If you gift shipment has not arrived, there is a good chance your shipment is being held up in Customs, you must personally contact UPS International to determine the cause of the hold-up, and to determine what action needs to be performed to include but is not limited to: Recipient has refused your shipment for any reason, and the shipment is returned to Customs and placed in holding. Recipient refuses to pay the Duty Tax in order to receive their shipment. You must pay this tax on behalf of recipient. Recipient refuses to register and pay for the Sanitary Authorization Certificate.
